The Mansfield Democratic Town Committee awards the Charlene and Harrison Straley Memorial Scholarship of $500.00 to a high school senior from Mansfield who is pursuing higher education and who has a demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the ideals of the Democratic Party.
Charlene and Harrison Straley were lifelong educators and activists, and longtime members of the Mansfield Democratic Town Committee. Their relentless pursuit of social justice, education and equality for all embodies the spirit of the Democratic Party.
Requirements
Applicant must be a Mansfield resident and high school senior enrolling in college, vocational training, or other post-secondary training in the Fall of 2021.
Applicant must complete the entire application and submit the required materials by April 30, 2022.
