Mansfield Democratic Party Votes to Endorse Candidates for Office in 2008
The Mansfield Democratic Town Committee voted unanimously to support the following candidates for election in 2008:
President of the United States, Barak Obama. Senator Obama is the best choice for President and is one of the most inspiring leaders this Country has ever produced. He will bring a new kind of leadership to our Nation one that unites all of us in hope, optimism and community. His policies and principles are smart, compassionate and clear and he deserves the support of all Americans.
U. S. House of Representatives, Barney Frank. Congressman Frank is one the most well respected and effective members of Congress. As Mansfield’s congressman representing the 4th Congressional district of Massachusetts, Mr. Frank has consistently impressed us with his thoughtful take on complicated issues and his consistent support for working families, social justice and common sense.
State Senate, James E. Timilty. Senator Timilty has represented the Bristol and Norfolk district, which includes Mansfield, with moderate, sensible positions on issues this town’s residents’ care most about: jobs, fiscal responsibility and economic development. He is one of the hardest working and most well respected members of the state senate and we are proud to support him for reelection.
State Representative in the 8th Norfolk District, Lou Kafka. Rep Kafka represents precinct 4 in Mansfield and we are proud of his record of accomplishment. Rep Kafka has a well deserved reputation for having one of the most responsive constituent services operations in the legislature as well as being a leader in protecting the Commonwealth’s most vulnerable and needy citizens.
State Representative in the 1st Bristol district, Devin Romanul. Mr. Romanul is a lifelong resident of Mansfield and a smart, capable candidate who will support high quality education, a strong local economy and affordable health care. The Democratic Town Committee is proud to support his campaign.
